2026-2027 Education-Teaching Fall Semester Horizontal Transfer Applications

Our university's 2026-2027 Education-Teaching Fall Semester horizontal transfer applications will be made ONLINE. Required documents will be uploaded to the application system in pdf format during the application process.

HORIZONTAL TRANSFER APPLICATIONS;

1- With Grade Point Average;

With General Weighted Grade Point Average; 

•  - Inter-Institutional (Domestic) Same Program
•  - Inter-Institutional (International) Same Program (Students with Turkish citizenship)
•  

 2- With Central Placement Score (Additional Article 1); 

it will be done. 

INTER-INSTITUTIONAL (DOMESTIC- INTERNATIONAL) HORIZONTAL TRANSFER APPLICATIONS WITH GPA

•  - It is done among equivalent programs at the same level, within the framework of the announced quotas.
•  
•  - There must be no disciplinary penalty.
•  
•  - Students cannot apply for horizontal transfer to a lower class than the one they are in.
•  

A student who completes the 1st year must apply to the 2nd year, and a student who completes the 2nd year must apply to the 3rd year. Horizontal transfer applications to the 1st and 4th years cannot be made with GPA.

•  - In order to transition from open and distance education to formal education programs, the student's general grade point average in the program they are studying must be 90 or above out of 100, or the central placement score of the year they enrolled must be equal to or higher than the base score of the diploma program they wish to transfer to that year.
•  
•  - Only one program can be applied for.
•  
•  - Being on a freeze status does not constitute an obstacle to benefit from the horizontal transfer right.
•  
•  - Students placed through DGS (except those applying under Additional Article-1 with central placement score), students registered under the second university without an exam, students placed through any undergraduate completion program, and students placed under international student status (with YÖS) will not have their horizontal transfer applications accepted.

•  - Applications from students who will transfer from higher education institutions abroad will be evaluated according to the provisions in Article 14 of the Regulation on the Principles of Transfer Between Associate and Bachelor's Degree Programs, Double Major, Minor, and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer within the 2026-2027 education-teaching quotas.

ACCORDING TO CENTRAL PLACEMENT SCORE (ADDITIONAL ARTICLE 1)

HORIZONTAL TRANSFER PROCEDURES

If the central placement score of the student in the year they are registered is equal to or higher than the base score of the diploma program they wish to transfer to in the year they entered; the student can apply for horizontal transfer, including the preparatory class. 

The application calendar for horizontal transfer, quotas, and procedures will be determined by the Higher Education Executive Board. Applications will be made in accordance with these determined principles. If the number of applications exceeds the quota, a ranking will be made starting from the candidate with the highest central placement score, and horizontal transfer acceptance will be provided within the quota.

APPLICATION DOCUMENTS:

1.  1- ÖSYM exam result document (Document with all score types)
2.  2- ÖSYM placement result document 
3.  3- Student document obtained from the e-Government system 
4.  4- Transcript document obtained from the e-Government system
5.  5- Document proving that students applying for horizontal transfer to programs with mandatory preparatory classes have successfully completed the preparatory class at their previous school. (If any)
6.  6- Document indicating the status for those in the 10% percentile. (For students transitioning from Second Education to Regular Education.)

CANDIDATES MUST CHECK THEIR APPLICATIONS AFTER UPLOADING THEIR DOCUMENTS TO THE SYSTEM.

RESULT ANNOUNCEMENT and REGISTRATION PROCEDURES

Horizontal transfer results will be announced through the Student Information System (ÖBS). Candidates who gain the right to register will complete their registrations online during the announced dates. If the main candidates do not register within the specified time, the right to register will be granted to reserve candidates in order for the vacant quotas.

DISCONTINUATION PROCESS

Students who register by gaining the right to horizontal transfer do not need to perform any discontinuation process from their current universities. The discontinuation process will be carried out through official correspondence between the two institutions.
